February 10, 2010>> Added 2 new sections! Both for makeup! I'll have some nice big prosthetic and creature projects up soon, I swear!!
January 11, 2010>> A month ago I started my dream job, and I'm an intern and concept artist at American Makeup & FX in Van Nuys. It's a bitch of a commute, but it's worth it and I'm learning more everyday! I haven't been there in a week though, I've been slammed with doing some concepts to pitch as a children's show. Check 'em out! They're Halloween-y. My fave!
November 15, 2009>> Woo, turned 24 two days ago! Fun times, lots of drinks. I've added 2 new pieces to my portfolio section. One is a fanart Zelda piece, the other is a mascot I did for a friend's website.
September 23, 2009>> Absolutely slammed with a new project, but I'm staying up late to finish old paintings and add on! Finally added my alternate characters for a "Lord of the Flies" alternate universe I created for class. Sandrine I made a year ago, and I just colored Simone this morning! WEE-HOO!
August 27, 2009>> Got some great work! Being doing some fun concept work for a movie, and some illustrations for a live event that will be broadcast worldwide next year! Woohoo! So, added 2 finished pieces to the portfolio section. I gotta update this place more!
July 21, 2009>> Added a new portfolio piece, some weirdo sisters who
summon tornadoes to mourn their husbands murdered by the sky. What can I say,
I read way too many weirdo fairytales in my youth. COMICCON IN 2 DAYS AYAYYYYY!
July 18, 2009>> Launch day! Yay! I finally have an online portfolio up!
Feel free to peruse about the place, and make sure to come back! I'll be
updating this website often with ridiculous artwork featuring plenty of drooling
monsters and the like. I have this site up JUST in time for comiccon! If you'll
be in San Diego for the con, drop me an e-mail at alexasmokebreak@gmail.com and
I'll tell you where all the weird artist kids get a drink afterwards. The
portfolio section of the site will be the one that gets updated most in these
coming few days, so keep an eye out! Lots of environments to come.
